Hey! You may have notice that the leaves are starting to fall…a sure sign that Autumn is on it’s way. This activity encourages creativity and is good for discussions about the changing seasons and all that’s to come – Halloween, Bonfire Night and finally, the big one – Christmas.

All you need is a good collection of leaves, some glue, a stapler and a 10cm x 65cm strip of white cardboard.

Spend the morning outside collecting a big bagful of autumn leaves. Any sort will do, and encourage your children to choose whichever kind of leaves they like best.

Bring home your leaves and stick them onto your strips of cardboard to make your crown.

Wait for the glue to dry and then staple the crown to size by measuring it on your child’s head. Then have fun pretending to be Kings and Queens for the day – very Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom!
