Hello! In recognition of the countdown until the World Cup in Brazil, we are again offering you a Brazilian recipe, and this week it’s a proper treat. These little chocolates are really simple to make and children can help!
Remember that Chocolate (or indeed, anything sweet) needs to be consumed in moderation. These would be good as a Saturday treat. This recipe makes about 40.
1 397g can sweetened condensed milk (Carnation Brand)
1 tablespoon butter
3 tablespoons cocoa
chocolate sprinkles Method
Over a medium-low heat, add the three ingredients and stir.
Cook the mixture until it thickens enough to show the pan bottom during stirring (it will be firm enough to stay together and not spread).
Pour into a greased dish and let cool to room temperature (or chill a few minutes in the fridge).
Grease your hands with butter and take small amounts of candy and form into 1 1/2 inch balls.
Roll the balls in chocolate sprinkles to decorate.
If the balls don’t hold their shape, cook an additional 5 minutes until it thickens up more.
You can put them in in tiny petits-fours cases if you’re serving them at an occasion (we buy our cases from eBay for £1.29 for 100). Enjoy!
