Part two of our Halloween craft idea bonanza is:
A fun cutting and gluing project resulting in the creation of Halloween Trees that can be used as individual art works or to decorate your house. Why not try a large version using your own templates that can use to fill a wall at a Halloween party?
Cutting and Gluing
Halloween Coloured Paint/Pens/Pencils
Halloween Coloured construction paper/card (white, orange, yellow and black)
Tissue Paper (orange and black)
The Plan (Template Version):
Get your children to colour in the template bats and leaves in various colours and using various mediums (paint, pens, pencils, crayons etc.)
Cut out the bats and leaves – assist the children as required with this part
Get them to colour in the template tree trunk, cut out and stick on black backing paper
Glue the leaves onto the tree
Glue the bats onto the tree/surrounding area
Use crayons/pencils etc. to further decorate the page (spiders, ghosts, tombstones etc.
The Plan (Tissue Paper Version):
Get your children to colour in the template tree trunk, cut out and stick on backing paper
Cut black and orange tissue paper in 1.5inch squares
Scrunch the tissue paper up and glue onto the tree as required, mix the colours and fill the treeUsing the template bat or freehand drawing enhance the picture by adding bats, ghosts, spiders, tombstones etc.
Instead of using the tree template children can use their hand to create to create their own tree outline!
